June Workshops

June 20 Color Confidence
1:30 pm – 4:30 pm at High Country Quilts

Color Confidence – seeing the role of color in society, color psychology, sources of color inspiration, what does color mean to you, your favorite colors and how to use them.

This is a non-sewing class.  Everyone will get a class packet which includes two printed color wheels and the additional materials to do the individual color exercises.  We will discuss, analyze, look at each others color palettes as well as some of the quilts I am bringing with an eye toward color.  I will also have some of my favorite color books, fabric samples, some pictures of things that inspire me and ideas for things that might inspire your students!  It is a really fun class – I actually learn something new from my students every time!

At the end of class, we will look at a possible quilt palette that each of the students has brought.  See supplies.

Supplies – a grouping of fabrics that you might be thinking of using as well as some of the ‘maverick’ fabrics in your stash that you want to work in but might not know how!
