A quilting bee is a group of women who meet to promote fellowship involving quilting on various personal, group and/or charity projects. These groups typically share common quilting goals and can form close bonds in support for each other. Groups may form by geographical area, quilting interest or topic such as paper piecing, applique, traditional or art quilting. Each group decides how many members to maintain, how often and where they meet, and what focus, or purpose guides their individual group.
